Gimmeln and the Allmendhubel lifts to be replaced for next season
The Board of Directors of the Schilthorn Cableway AG today confirmed the future of the ski lifts - Gimmeln and Allmendhubel.

Both lifts will be replaced for the winter season 2014/2015 at a cost of 1.9 million CHF.

The Allmendhubel funnicular is closing on Monday 16th for its annual maintenance but this year its having the ropes replaced. (picture showing the new rope been carried up on the Stechelberg transport cablecar)

Just back from Murren, from what i can see they will be building the new Maulerhubel chairlift station right behind the top of the Allmendhubel button...but not until season 09/10

Schon, aber dann müsste dort sicher erst mal kräftig gebaut werden. Die haben ja nicht mal ein Hotel dort. Abgesehen davon fehlt es auch an sonstiger Infrastruktur (Geschäfte, Restaurants, usw.).
Zudem machen die Schilthornbahnen ihre Geschäft im Sommer. Nicht umsonst wird daher zurückhaltender in ...

I love the Jungfrau Region and specially this resort, its good to see that they will be upgrading the Winteregg chair aswell as installing a new lift upto the Amendubel .

Does anyone know were they might be positioning the top station on the Amendhubel or will they take it higher to connect to the ...
