Tension . A counterweight. To figure out would be the weight of the cable and chairs. Also figuring out the proper Cantonary between the towers. On my fix grip verson , i have a 17 lb lead counterweight with a travel of 12 inches. I tried with a spring type but was getting alot of bounce. To keep to...

Super nice. All the Von Roll VR101 that are out here in the USA have the double counterweight sheaves. As for the counterweight, how many lbs is it going to be on your model?

8,000 isnt much at all. Im out here in San Diego Ca USA where the 2 Von Roll VR101 rides see some 10,000 in 1 day if not more.

All I can say is boycot the new gondola. Give them 1 star on there Facebook page and let it be known they distroyed a lasting lift from the legendary Von Roll LTD .

I still think it is sick that they couldnt preserve the last Von Roll VR101 in Switzerland. The place where Von Roll was born couldnt even save it. Messed up. They dont care at all about Swiss history.

Thats a great idea. Have you tried any weight in the chairs?. Do you plan on making a backyard version with a tension station? Love that you built after the first detachable in minature form. Love Von Roll lifts especially the VR 101.
