Das war aber nun wirklich schon seit längerem fällig.
Ich bin gespannt ob irgendwann dann im Anschluss die Erweiterung in die Schüssel auf der Rückseite noch kommt oder ob das nun wirklich final begraben ist. Erweitern ist ja scheinbar dort - siehe LL - nicht wirklich ein Thema, obwohl ja auch im NP…

As some of you may have noticed, #whistlerblackcomb has made some changes to a couple of runs for this season.

On #blackcomb, couple of notable changes are:
In the Glacier Express Chairlift area, Glacier Drive (Black) as been extended up to Horstman Ridge and replaces the top part of Blueline. This change to an all Black run down the middle of this area is apparently due to recession of the Horstman Glacier and a resulting increase in the steepness of the run.

In the Jersey Cream area, a new run has been named: Wally World. It runs between Cougar Milk and Wishbone. Still trying to find out who Wally was and why this area was his world . (Followup - Found out from a former groomer that Wally World has been around for a while, just not recognized on the trail map).

In the 7th Heaven Area, the Green running down from the top to the top of the Jersey Cream Chairlift is now called Southside Green.

In the Catskinner area, there is a new run - Over Easy - that has been cut through the forest above the Magic Castle. This run gives access to the new Railroad Adventure Run in the same area. Look for the railroad and mining historical objects along this run.

Der von @snowflat weiter oben schon angekündigte Richardson‘s Ridge Chair in Lake Louise hatte nun Baubeginn:

NEW Terrain Update, Richardson's Ridge!
Located on the backside of the Lake Louise Ski Resort, Richardson's Ridge will include new terrain and a new chairlift! The new chair will be accessible from Pika run and will provide access to terrain for variety of ability levels.
This week, with the help of @Valhallahelicopters the team has been clearing terrain for runs and the new lift line.

After many years of planning, we are excited to share that the first phase of our newest terrain addition, Richardson’s Ridge, is set to open by early spring 2026.
This season, the Richardson’s Ridge Express detachable high-speed quad will transport skiers and riders to five new beginner and intermediate runs and cruisy, natural glades. With spectacular views down Pika Valley and to Mt. Temple beyond, Richardson’s Ridge offers exciting new terrain for the whole family to explore and is similar in size to our existing Larch area.
This first phase of Richardson’s Ridge is a major step in enhancing the guest experience at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. We’re thrilled to begin welcoming guests into this 200-acre terrain pod suited to skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels. And we’re not done yet - looking ahead to future seasons, our long-range plan for this area also envisions selective glading in advanced/expert areas and a surface lift connection from Temple Lodge.
The Richardson’s Ridge area builds on recent transformational projects in the past 5 years, including the addition of the Summit Quad and the opening of West Bowl, the new Juniper Express and Learning Area, and the new Pipestone Express Heated Bubble six-pack last year. Together, these mark some of the most significant capital investments in our history, underscoring our commitment to creating unforgettable skiing and riding at Lake Louise now and into the future.

Mt. Seymour Proposes Ten New Ski Lifts in Ambitious Development Plan

Mont Tremblant will add 62 acres of skiable terrain served by a new high-speed quad chairlift for the 2027-28 season in the Versant Soleil area of the resort, which is also the future home of the new Club Med Tremblant that’s scheduled to open in 2028.

Mont Tremblant will add 62 acres of skiable terrain served by a new high-speed quad chairlift for the 2027-28 season in the Versant Soleil area of the resort, which is also the future home of the new Club Med Tremblant that’s scheduled to open in 2028. A new beginner area will open this winter in the Versant Soleil base as part of an overall CA$42.5 million (roughly US$30.8 million) investment at the Alterra-owned resort.

The terrain expansion is called Timber Summit. It will include eight new trails of all difficulty levels, mostly beginner and intermediate, with more than 1,400 feet of vertical drop. All the new trails will be covered by snowmaking.

The new detachable lift, to be named Timber Express, will span roughly 5,900 feet from the base of Versant Soleil to the top of Timber Summit and transport up to 2,400 passengers per hour on 125 quad carriers. Tremblant said the technology is comparable to its Lowell Thomas Express lift, a Doppelmayr high-speed quad installed in 2018.
