Thanks for your report! I'm spending next week at Sils, so it is reassuring to see that the pists look pretty nice... especially after this warm winter start.
You've already said that the snow is rather hard, but that's fine to me, as long as there aren't to much stones... So, were there many stones on the pists?
Also: from your report I suppose that the connection between Furtschellas and Corvatsch is open. (At the interactive pistmap on bergbahnenengadin.ch, this isn't really clear. Theoretically, there seems to be a bit of a pist missing, but that could be due to the fact that these interactive maps only allow entire pists to be open or closed, and not to say "this part is open, but this one is closed".)
Cheers,
LGH

Dear LGH,
I'll be in Sils next week too
There was a few stones on the slopes and they were working very well with the snow guns and snow cats, so I hope will have resonable conditions for next week, of course 1 meter of new snow in more than welecome but not predicted... Maybe we'll have the chance to skating on the lakes if they frozen and if it don't snow.
Conncection beetween Furtschellas and Corvastsch is open, juts a few stones on the top flat part of the Curtinella slope.
All the slopes are open except:
Furtschellas top part chairlift (employees of Furtschellas told me that they are going to open they lift by today, at least by Christmas I think they'll open it).
Corvatsch glestcher (on Sunday they were grooming it)
Giand D'Alva and Hannensee (they need more snow to open them).
Cheers
Nicola
