The ski area is open only for skiers (snowborders, monoskiers and miniskiers are not allowed to ski). This is not because of a marketing decision of the ski area but because the access skilift (3 Pini, A in the plan) is quite steep (more than 40%).

Very interesting pictures from an unknown (at least for me) ski area in Italy. Thanks for that!

Regarding the chairlift you mentioned:
Do you know why it was closed? Out-dated?
Was it replaced by one of the current T-bars?
Could you probably indicate on the map where the chairlift was located?

Thanks for your report. I have never heard about this area before.

On what altitude is the ski-area? From the trail map I would guess (and not more) something between 1600 (lower station) to 2200 (upper station).

The resort is from 1380 m till aproximately 2200 m, so a good vertical drop. The are more trees that in the skimap, the picture is very old.

I've founded a old map of the area with all the LASAP lifts:


The circle are the intermediate stops of the chairlift that was aproximatel 2300 meters long.

All the lifts not still running have been closed because they became out of dated.

Monesi is not the only ski resort in Liguria, there are also 2 others at the moment not running: Alberola (near Savona) and Santo Stefano D'Aveto (nera Rapallo). Next year Santo Stefano D'Aveto will be reopen with a new chairlift

Ich war am 2.3., also einen Tag später, dort. Ich fand den Pistenzustand ziemlich katastrophal - ca. 2/3 der Abfahrten waren gar nicht präpariert, und das, was präpariert war, war ziemlich schlecht präpariert...
