I don't find information about this GUB but i think that is special: long distance (1200) between berg medium and tal station but higth Maximale Förderleistung 1200 Pers/h !

Is this gondola fix next to sostituition? Does the operator sell it for a repositioning? How much it cost today an identic (distance, förderleistung, fix gondola, talstation motor and tension, ..) seilbahn?

Well, I don't know what's so special about this ropeway. They will replace the GUB sometime but not during the next five years I think. And you can be sure, that nobody will buy the ropeway... This system was built only about 1990 and it couldn't establish itself.

I am a big fan of cable cars, in particular fix ropeways (ski lifts, chairlifts, cestovie, etc.). This lift is classified in the international system as FGM (monocable gondola fix) or in Germany GUB. There are few kind around the world because it generally does not exceed the hourly capacity 500-600 people. Also in this type of installation depends very much on the length between the stations, unlike a common automatic gondola (CLD or MGD).

Looking at all the lift (GUB) classified on lift-world.info, remontées-Mécaniques funivie.org this is unique in its kind. Notwithstanding the fact line is far more than 2200 m has an hourly capacity of 1200 p / h. This means that the lift can be contrasted to a chairlift 2CLF.

Yes, i knew. The calculations must be done in the lenght between 2 station (1200 m), also considering the time of embarkation and disembarkation. The thing that make this lift "performance" is the group of five gondola per 15 people. A same case is in Zermatt, but only 400 m.

In Fieberbrunn there are two GUBs, the lower section with 5 cabins (15 passengers), the upper section with 4 cabins (maybe slightly fewer passengers because there are "seats" round the walls). They look very similar to the Saalbach GUB (but no middle station). I don't know the details of the lengths or capacities.
