Major news at Trysil Høyfjellssenter!

This year Fageråsen and Trysil Høyfjellssenter are getting the attention they deserve, with a new six-seat chairlift among the news!

This year it will be even better and easier to be a guest at Trysil Høyfjellssenter - this wonderful and child-friendly venue!

6-seat chairlift
Fageråsen is finally getting its own chairlift. A high-standard 6-seat lift will ensure quick and comfortable transport to the top of the mountain. The seats are heated and covered to make the trip to the top as comfortable as possible. The lower station is located in the same area as the lower station for the t-bar lift Skarven, and it will take you straight to the top in close proximity to the upper station for Toppentrekket.

Snow production ensures earlier season start
The downhill slope linked to the new chairlift will be a wider slope measuring 1,900 metres long. Snow-production equipment has been installed on the slope and on the ski pathways to and from the slope in order to ensure an earlier start to the season. This year the ski season at the Trysil Høyfjellssenter will open on Saturday 9 December 2006!

Expanded and improved eateries
This year there will be an even better range of eateries catering to families with small children staying at Fageråsen and the Trysil Høyfjellssenter. A new pavillion is being built at Fjellroa, which is located literally in the middle of an alpine slope. This popular and prominent site will seat 40 persons, with an equal number of spaces for standing. A large patio will surround much of the building, and there will also be very child-friendly toilets!

A new barbecue restaurant will be opening at Velkomstsenteret (the Welcome Centre) at the Trysil Høyfjellssenter. The new restaurant will have an Italian touch and seat 70 persons.

Better ski-in & ski-out facilities
The transport lift to the cabin and hut communities at Fageråsen was ready by the end of the 2006 season. The lift makes it easier for guests to return to their rental huts in the afternoon. But we are not stopping there -- so that everyone can enjoy the facilities at Trysil Høyfjellssenter, and not have to use their cars during their holidays, a ski bus will be shuttling continuously between the hut areas and the Trysil Høyfjellssenter. A bus should always be within reach!

New parking facilities at Trysil Turistsenter
Even though the major news this year comes from the Trysil Høyfjellssenter, improvements are also planned for the Trysil Turistsenter. A new grocery store (ICA) offering visitors a wide assortment of groceries was completed in February 2006, and a parking facility featuring 200 parking spaces is being constructed just below the Velkomstsenteret. Parking at this site will be reserved for ICA customers and for persons staying at the apartments at Velkomstgaarden.

In Trysil wird derzeit eine knapp 2.5 km lange neue EUB von Leitner gebaut:

Bisher hat es dort nur Schlepplifte und Sesselbahnen, somit die erste Gondelbahn für Trysil.
