The weather was on our side on the fourth day of our ATeSt tour; Courmayeur promised stunning views of Mont Blanc. We parked at the Val Veny gondola; it cost five euros, but it was just five meters from the gondola. A wonderful skiing experience. First down the blue runs, up on the Zerotta chairlift, then down again to the Checrouit valley station, where there’s a beautiful wide red run. Youla is a bit of a unique resort, right at the top, with the best snow until the afternoon, but the old gondola is always a bit crowded. Funny day...
