New ski resort for Algeria: South Korean builders to join in Algiers development

Local builders will build a new township with a built up area of 1 million pyeong (a pyeong equals to 3.3 square meters) in the Algerian capital of Algiers, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation said yesterday.

The Algerian government granted Dongil Construction Co., Woolim Construction Co., Bando Corp., Korea Land Corp. and others the right to develop the first parcel of a 6.5-million-pyeong site in the Bouinan suburb,

Bouinan, located 30 kilometers from the center of Algiers, will offer greater accessibility and a salubrious environment among three new townships the Algerian government plans to develop, the ministry said. The new township of Bouinan is expected to include a golf course and ski resort.
