75 people were safely evacuated from the cable cars at the Rosa Khutor resort.
The emergency services say the ski lift was shut down at 5:30 p.m. local time (1330 GMT) Sunday and it took rescuers nearly two hours to evacuate all 75 stranded passengers.

The cableway works in a normal regime, a spokesman said.
Rosa Khutor is to hold several Olympic test events in the coming weeks including stages of the FIS Alpine skiing, snowboard and freestyle skiing World Cups.

Daß ein Baum auf das Seil fällt, sollte zwar eigentlich nicht passieren (dürfen); aber 2h für die Evakuation von 75 Leuten aus den Gondeln? Geht in Ordnung; das Rettungssystem funzt also und hat damit wohl seine Feuertaufe bestanden ...
