Currently, the traffic is still done via the RD96, only in the downward direction and for light vehicles.
We have no informations concerning the opening hour of the RD96 to go up the valley for now.
We advise you to postpone your arrival to tomorrow, 1st of March, or to stop in one of the big cities before Albertville (Lyon, Grenoble, Chambéry)
Road state update 02/28/2015 9:30 am]
Because of a boulder fall which happened at Fontaine le Puits, 9 kms from Moutiers, the traffic on the road RD117 « Vallée des Belleville » is not possible in both directions until further notice.
We encourage you to postpone your departure and do not travel in direction of Val Thorens / Les Menuires.
Light vehicles can leave Val Thorens and Les Menuires by the road RD96 "Côte Saint Laurent". Road is open for descent only.
Warning : This road is closed for buses and trucks.

Road state, update 02/28/2015 5:30 pm]
Good news!! The main road D117 between Moûtiers and Val Thorens is now open, in both senses of traffic
You are very numerous waiting on the road, if you need, accommodations for the night will therefore be proposed in Moutiers and Albertville.
Thank you everybody for your patience and understanding (some will still be needed, but everything is coming back to normal gradually!).
We are waiting for you at the end of the road
