access routes for Val Di Fassa

which is the best option? or the quickest....

coming from South, its better to take the

SS 48 delle Dolomiti - Passo San Lugano - Val di Fiemme - Val di Fassa (distance 45 km)
or
SS 241 Grande Strada delle Dolomiti - Passo Costalunga - Val di Fassa (distance 37 km)

its only 8 km difference...i think the first option is better....
or not?

I would go the Passo Costalunga. The road is not very narrow, you have some nice views on Latemar and Catenaccio mountain (good for a stop: lago di carezza) and you will go through the heart of a skiing arena (Carezza). So you can ski before you arrive at your target.

The SS48 is the better choice.
Only the first part of the road i a little bit narrow.
The rest is very fast and there is enough place for overtaking and no villages belong the road.

The more beaitiful road is the SS241.

Thanx...probaly i will go from SS48

@skilinde: i will arrive at Ancona around 13.00 pm so i dont think i will manage to go for skiing before Vigo...When we will arrive at lago di carezza, probably it will be dark...
