Greece-Winter 2007/08-Vasilitsa

First of all hello to everyone...
Sorry for the English language but i dont speak German so good yet.

I live in Greece, and i will present as much ski resorts from my Country as possible from now on...
I hope that the coming winter will be better than the last...

well...i think i can understand your feeling...
you like old lifts etc.
i am still looking for an un-crowded resort, not expensive, un-known, with enough slopes, and excellent snow record...
of course i didnt find it yet

Unbelievable !

It´s really funny, a good friend has a house on an an greece island (don´t remind the name) and a few weeks ago,
i told him, that there are som ski-resorts in greece. he laughed loudly and didn´t believe it.
Now i can show him these photos! thanks a lot for these great photos

There is a myth about Mt Pilio. The top of the mountain is at 1.450m. only. But the snow sometimes is amazing...
They used to say that when they called someone from FIS for slope certification, he went to the mountain look around and said:
- whats this over there in this side of the mountain? the sea?
- yes...
- and on this side? again sea?
-yes....
- how tall are the lifts...
- seven m.
- you made them very low...the snow will cover them...

AND....

i dont know if it is true...i hope to see some snow like this again in my life....

Unfortunately no...
the closest ski resort is one hour normal driving. Most of them are a couple of hours...but i used of it....
so it is ok...
