1.12. THE FIRST SKIING IN JASNA
The first skiing under Chopok peak will probably start already on 1. 12.2007 in the resort ZÁHRADKY.
Following dowhnill tracks will be covered with artificial snow gradually- No.1 PRETEKARSKA and No. 11 FIS in Zahradky,later the downhill tracks in the part OTUPNÉ.
A new 4-seat cableway on BIELA PÚŤ is going to be tested on 5.12. and it will be possible to ski in the resort probably on 22.12.
Nowadays there are 30 cm of natural snow under Chopok peak but it is not enough due to the rough stony ground and 50 cm of artificial snow must be added at least. The consistency of snow covering the terrain these days is not suitable for skiing – it is difficult to maintain it by heavy vehicles because the ground is not frozen enough. If the temperature drops below -10°C for 5 days at least we will be able to cover the dowhnill track FIS with artificial snow.
The tracks are going to be snowed up from 25.11.2007 after completion of a new snow-making system with 140 snow points (twice more than last year) and 40 snow guns are going to be in operation.

Bis auf 2-3 Schlepper alles offen, auch die beiden Gipfellifte. Also sollte nach 6(oder sinds schon 7???) Jahren meiner "ersten Sk-Skischaukel"(Die Verbindung war jahrelang unterbrochen, letztes Jahr ging der Nord Gipfellift erst Ostern in Betrieb) nichts im Wege stehen?!
So, hoffentlich bleibts so, Daumen drücken! Bericht wird folgen!
