Stubai 14-19 Oct. 2009

So...i went for five days at Stubai...

- flight from Thessaloniki to Stuttgard (didnt find for Munchen), and from there with a rented Opel Corsa straight to Neustift...the flight depart at 13 oct. 2009 at 17.00 pm from Greece and arrive at Stuttgard around 18.30 without any problems....as fast as possible straight to Hertz, got the car, checked it, and from there to Stubaital...i choose to go from Stuttgard to Munchen and from there to Innsbruck, than the way from Memmingen and Imst etc...
- the weather was perfect for me...snowing every night, a few hours of sunshine every morning...last two days the weather was not so good...too much fog...however...
- snow perfect...almost from 20 cm at tal, until 100 cm top...

So...pros and cons...

+++ skiing at October
+++ fresh snow
+++ Stubai
+++ apres ski

generally , a perfect 5days skiing-holiday....i know that for most of you, it not so important, but, if you live in Greece, skiing in Oct. is something remarkable...
it is my 2nd time of Autumn Ski, and i think that i will start to visit every Autumn the Alps...

(i will not say any comments about photo...you know much better than me, where is every pict)

so...thats all...the photo are not so good, because with -12 C it is not so easy to take of the gloves for pictures....

I think your trip to Stubai Glacier can be described with: All's well that ends well.
The snow came just in time, you had fresh powder and also sometimes sun, a perfect combination
Are there no direct flights from greece to Innsbruck?

yes...you are right...i was very anxious because few days before there was no sign of snow...but "wer wagt gewinnt"

there are no direct flights from greece to Innsbruck..unfortunately...the best choice is Munchen Airport...
