Vasilitsa - 7/1/2011

Well....we are at 12-1-2011 and not skiing yet in Greece...
We tried last week but the situation was worst than that you see in the photo.
15-30 cm, when last year the snow was over 100cm.

The irony: last winter the mountain had over 100cm before Christmas, but opened end of Dec, because of organizational problems.
This winter a new manager (an Austrian one) is the new general manager of the resort. There is a new era in Vasilitsa...you could see that...with 15-30 cm the resort is in limited operation but they are trying to do something....with no artificial snow, the stuff do its best to operate the resort.
They even take snow with truck and let it into the slopes....

the nice think....two cheap...
one hot chocolate ,one schnaps (traditional) and a small plate with few thinks for your schnap, just 4 Euro total...

and the re-fill was "on the house"..... (nice sausage)

well...thats all for now...
there is few snow more today...maybe we will go this Saturday....

Does this Ski-Resort only consists of these two T-Bars or are there any other lifts around?
Any chance to see a liftmap, or aren't there any?

no...there is another one 2chairlift and one 3p-chairlift....in the lower part of the resort..
i prefer the upper part. When there is enough snow, is perfect. Especially after fresh snowfall (good joke for this winter)

If one ski resort had the lifts and pists of the alps and the prices of the meals were the same as in Greece, it would be great.

Why isn`t there anybody in the T-bar where the "interesting" part begins? Just beginners that get out of the lift before or is it by accident?

oficcialy the slope was groomed and "open" only around the lower part.
Because of the lack of snow.

I will post some pics from last weekend where there was 1m. snow more....
