Unten ein Bild vom Korblift! Der Typ vorn links mit dem roten T-Shirt ist übrigens der, den ich wegen Val Thorens fragen werde. Die Leute sind ehemalige Lehrer von mir und mit denen gehe ich regelmässig auf Tour.

Die DSB und der Schlepper oben stehen noch. DSB müsste so 800 Meter lang sein, der Schlepper 700 Meter.
Die DSB ist ziemlich zugewachsen, aber der Schlepper sieht noch ziemlich betriebsbereit aus. Die Bilder stammen vom Spätsommer 2002.

Nach Internet-Informationen ist davon auszugehen, dass am Monte Poieto noch Skibetrieb ist.

Ja, das Bild kenn ich und an die Bahn erinnere ich mich auch dunkel, ist noch nicht so lange her, dass du sie drin hattest. Krass, dass du in die Gegend gekommen bist. Die ist ja ziemlich schwer vom deutschsprachigen Raum aus zu erreichen... warst Du noch in anderen Teilen der Bergamasker Alpen? Hast Du noch mehr Bilder?

Ich find das ist eine der schönsten Ecken überhaupt, zumindest weiter rein, wo die Berge schon höher sind.

Fährt der Korblift nicht in so ein Hotel rein oder so, als Bergstation?

^^ Wir sind eigentlich hin um Bergamo zu besuchen. Hotels in Bergamo sind relativ teuer und so haben wir in Albino reserviert. Hatten uns am Flughafen Autos geliehen. Hat auch ganz gut gepasst, denn diese Kurztripps sind in der Regel eine Kombination aus Kultur, Bergwandern und Schwimmen. Bergwandern war eben am Monte Poieto und Schwimmen im Logo d'Isea (saustark). Direkt hinter dem Monte Poieto gehts ja mit dem Monte Alben höhenmässig richtig los und wir hatte erst noch vor, am Ende des Tals noch was zu machen. Das hat dann leider nicht mehr geklappt.

Leider kannte ich damals noch keine Ski- und Seilbahnforen. Sonst hätte ich viel mehr Bilder von den Liften gemacht und frühmorgens noch andere Lifte in den Bergamasker Alpen besucht. Ausserdem hätte ich mich in Selvino genau nach dem LSAP-Faktor des Skigebiets erkundigt.

Zur Bergstation: Ist ein etwas grösserer Komplex. Ob da nur ein Restaurant drin ist oder auch Hotelbetrieb, kann ich dir nicht sagen. Wir sind vorn den Berg hoch zur Bergstation und dann hinten um den Berg rum, am Monte Alben vorbei. Dabei haben wir die Trassen vom Schlepplift (vermutlich Teller) und der DSB gequert. Unten in Selvino haben wir dann fürstlich gespeist. Ist in Italien irgendwie lockerer als bei uns. Wir haben dem Kellner mit den bescheidenen Italienisch-Kenntinnsen nur zu verstehen gegeben, er möge uns was gutes bringen. Resultat waren 4 super Gänge für total wenig Geld.

HI i'm a boy who lives near Selvino.
Monte Poieto was created in 1957 by a local skier and was opened until january 1996 but then judicals problems damaged the society so Monte Poieto closed until June 1996.
Today Monte Poieto have 2 restaurants, a bar and you can also sleep there.
In winter you can't ski but they want to replace the old lifts with new lifts.
The gondola-cableway will be replaced with a closed cableway before the end of 2006.
In Selvino you can ski @ Monte Purito.
If anybody want more details about this place send me an e-mail in english or in easy german bitte!

Sollte man das nicht jetzt in LSAP under News verschieben? Vielleicht eher LSAP solange keine Beweise da sind, dass neu gebaut wird.

very interersting infos. I love the alpi bergamsci and I cam last year to look for small skiing areas like Piazzatorre (Ovovia! and so on.

Do you know about Alpe Arera? Will it be closed forevere open it again?

Hi Alpe Arera now it's closed and i think it will be remain closed for ages.
There are projects to re-open lifts and slopes but i think it isn't possible because there you can ski from 1100 to 2000 but the snow in winter usually is not sufficient and the district of Oltre il Colle (where Alpe Arera is) has not too much money to invest in a similar project.
They prefere to have only a nordic-slope and a little ski-lift @ Monte Alben (the mountain in front of Arera).
So i think it will be more possible that they open a new cableway @ Monte Poieto and new slopes.

Ja, Monte Poieto offers more services and, for me, it's a lot better than Arera. Many years ago was a very important ski-resort for our province!

Maybe you want to open a new topic about skiing in alpi bergamasci? We don't know much about this region which is certainly very interesting as it's still rather unspoiled and comes along with a splendid landscape.

Hallo Jungs,

das sind nicht gerade erfreuliche Nachrichten, dass Monte Poieto ersetzt wird.

Ich glaube, dem Fundamenti Tour Bericht etwas vorgreifen zu müssen.

Bei der DSB - wenn es denn eine ist - lagen ein Haufen ESL herum. War es wirklich eine DSB oder nicht doch ein ESL? Wobei diese Sesselbahn mehr als LSAP war. Der Tellerschlepper hatte Gehänge drauf und schien noch ziemlich gut in Schuss. Pistenmäßig weiß ich nicht grade.... Monte Arera hat mir von der Steilheit besser gefallen. Aber da oben wird der Wind wohl alles verblasen. Wobei - ein klein wenig Rost schaben und putzen und mit einer neuen Betriebsgenehmigung läuft der Laden dort oben wieder. Wundert mich sowieso, dass da nix auf Sommerbetrieb läuft. Infrastruktur wär durchaus da - Campingplatz und Hotel/Appartmentkomplex.
Leider sind wir am Arera aufgrund Durchfalles von mir nicht weiter als bis zur Mittelstation gekommen. Hätte weiter auch nix gebracht, da die Nebelbänke sehr tief hingen.

Hoffe, es geht im Fundamenti Bericht bald weiter...

I’m sorry. I will translate my coment into englisch. I speak a littel bit italien but to less for talking to you.

I’m not happy that the bidonvia to the Monte Poieto will be replaced. It is a special feeling to ride with a bidonvia.

I’m not sure if the chairlift on the Monte Poieto was a double chairlift. I expect, that it has been a single chair lift because I have seen much single chairs behind the mountain side station. When we examined the mountain side station we suppose that this chairlift must be LSAP. The ski lift beside the mountain station of the bidonvia looked very good so that we supposed that this lift will run in winter.
I think, that the ski slopes on Monte Poieto wont be so interesting. We have also visited Monte Arera and the slopes on this mountain looked more likely. But – as you mentioned – there have been problems with the snow. I suppose that the wind blows the snow away. On the other hand, a little bit grid scraping and polishing and with a new operating approval – and the area would be top again. I just wonder why there is no operating in summertime anylonger. The infrastructure is there – a camping site and a appartment complex.
We have visited the middle station at the Monte Arera. Because of diarrhea of mine we couldn’t walk to the top. But it would have been senseless because of foggy clouds.

I hope, that the „fundamenti Tour 2005“ would be continued as soon as possible. If you are interested in the areas we have visited, look at the pictures in this topic.

Hi thanks for your translation!
There are unfortunately insufficient money to re-open Monte Arera's lifts.
I usually don't go in that place because there's not too much to do.
I was there for the last time in summer 2001 with my friends and there were a possibility to have money from the regional government but today everybody think that nothin' could happen for next years.

I'd also like to say that i know that slopes @ Monte Poieto are not excellent (we're only @1400 metres and it's not like to be in Livigno, Davos, ecc...) but are good prepared and nice. (unfotunately today are closed).

Rechts von der Bergstation des Korbliftes sieht man die Bergstation des Tellerschleppers, der hinten runter geht - etwa bis zu der Wiese, die man weiter unten sieht. Die Sesselbahn sieht man nicht; deren Bergstation befindet sich ein paar hundert Meter links der Bergstation des Korbliftes. Die Sesselbahn geht auch hinten runter, und zwar relativ steil über gut 300 HM.


p.s.: Ich denke, es wird immer wichtiger, dieses Topiv nach LSAP zu verschieben. Parallel sollte man ein Topic "News in den Bergamasker Alpen" aufmachen (wie trinc bereits vorgeschlagen hat).

Nicht ganz. Die Bergstation des Sesselliftes kann man mit Ortskenntnis und Gut Will erkennen.

Und zwar ganz am linken Bildrand oben, dort wo die Sendemasten stehen erkennt man ein langgestreckes weißes Gebäude - Maschinenraum für die Sender. Entlang des Bergrückens nach links ganz an den Rand - dort sieht man was Dunkles. Das ist die Bergstation.

The look of Alpe Arera an Zambla Alta as well as Olte il Colle is a bit sad today... its easily seen, that there's no money and these resort have already seen their best times some ages ago. Anyway, they were quiet nice places to ski as I think. The higher lift at Oltre il Colle (the Old one, that is closed today (avalanche??)) had a nice piste.

Alpe Arera had problems with snow not only because of the wind but also due to its south-facin slopes which are rather sun-exposed.

Danke für die Info! Ich war nur an der Bergstation des Korbliftes und bin nicht zur Bergstation des Sesellifts rübergelaufen. Ich bin die Trasse des Tellerliftes bis zur Hälfte runter gelaufen und dann nach links. Dort habe ich die (völlig zugewachsene) Sessellifttrasse etwa auf halber Höhe gequert.

Leider habe ich damals vor 2 Jahren noch nichts von einem Forum mit Seilbahnverrückten geahnt. Sonst hätte ich Fotos gemacht ohne Ende!

Auch das Korblift-Bild habe ich eher zufällig und unbewusst gemacht. Wenigstens hab ich aber das zustande gebracht.


Das da hab ich im Web gefunden:

A Selvino, situato su un altopiano di 1000 metri, gli impianti salgono sul monte Poieto e sul monte Purito. Uno skilift, con pendio innevato anche con i cannoni, si trova proprio in paese e da alcune stagioni sulla pista relativa si disputa lo slalom parallelo di Natale con i più forti sciatori del momento.

Demnach ist in Selvino noch ein Lift in Betrieb!? Unten halt und nicht oben auf Poieto.

In Selvino we've got a ski-lift which was opened until march 1992 (i'm not sure 'bout this date).
This is in the centre of the town and in winter 2003 opened a new "lift":a conveyer belt.
In the next years they want to replace the old ski-lift maybe with a 4 place chairlift...
