Yeah, I'm stuck to the 26th, because i'm on a transit to Italy. I know, only a few lifts and slopes will be opened, but on the way from Basel to Genua it is the biggest area as far as I know. Or would Saas Fee be better?Snow Wally schrieb:Lsp schrieb:I would like to ski in Zermatt on the 26th of Mai, but do I understand correctly that Kleine Matterhorn cable car will be opened, but the slopes not?![]()

Yeah, sadly, they sometimes open that cable car only for sightseeing people (and mountaineers) but not for skiers.
Normally though, that's just due to wind, so not sure if this is indeed the case on May 26th. Best way to make sure is to email their customer service directly, I often do that and they're usually quite quick and friendly to answer: info@matterhornparadise.ch
Otherwise, are you really fixed on May 26th? It's in the period where the smallest amout of lifts/slopes are open... basically only the 2 red slopes besides the Furggsattel chairlift:

Sadly Saas Fee isn't open on May 26th. They will not open until July 16th.
